My name is Jen Brady, and I am a Dublin based mum of three.  I live on the Dublin/Meath border with my two little girls and boy, husband Mark, dog and cat (we won’t get into the story of the hens!). 

I have always been passionate about all things birth and baby and I began my journey into this world soon after my first daughter was born.  Following my training as a breastfeeding counsellor with the Irish parenting charity, Cuidiú I moved on to train as an Antenatal Educator with Antenatal Ireland, and a Birth and Postpartum Doula.  Becoming an Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) with the International Association of Infant Massage was a natural progression for me, as was training as a Baby Yoga Instructor.

I believe that every parent deserves access to quality education that will enable them to transition smoothly into parenthood and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Antenatal Course 

Join Jen for a full day Antenatal course in the Pillo Hotel, Ashbourne. This small group in-person course is designed with your individual needs in mind and will equip you and your partner to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenting journey.

• Positions for labour and birth
• Birth preferences
• Comfort measures and pain relief (natural & pharmacological)

Two Day Hypnobirth & Antenatal Combi-Course

The ultimate experience for expectant parents and birth partners. A two day course that combines all of the elements of Jen's Antenatal course but with the added benefits of Hypnobirthing.

Hypnobirthing teaches skills that help to reduce stress, fear and pain in labour and birth - the practice of these skills may in turn reduce the need for medication and intervention.

Hypnobirthing can help the birthing woman to feel confident, calm, and in control during her birthing experience.

Hypnobirthing supports parents to feel calmer throughout pregnancy and this in turn offers many benefits to both parent and baby.

Birth Doula 

Jen offers both Birth Doula Support to clients in the Dublin/Meath area.

Jen is proud to provide clients with continuous support during pregnancy, labour and birth, and the postpartum period. Allow Jen to offer you all the informational, practical, emotional and physical support you may need during one of the most important period of your life.

Jen is experienced in supporting families in all of the different birth settings, hospital, homebirth, Cesarean Birth, VBAC etc.

Baby & Child First Aid Workshop 

This is an absolute must. Spend 90 minutes learning all the essentials of First Aid for your little one.

Working together with ParentFirstAid, Jen is delighted to be able to offer this fantastic Baby & Child First Aid Workshop.  This live, 90-minute workshop is perfect for parents to be, parents, grandparents, family members and caregivers. Learn all about CPR, choking, bumps and bruises, cuts and grazes, burns, temperature control and much more from the comfort of your own home. Lots of time for questions. A First Aid handout is included.

Baby Massage

Face-to-face baby massage classes are back!

This in-person course takes place over five weeks, in the lovely setting of Dunshaughlin Pastoral Centre, Co. Meath. Learn calming and soothing massage strokes, learn how to read your baby's cues, meet other parents, have a cuppa and relax with your baby.

Learn calming and soothing massage strokes, a coilc/wind routine, how to read your baby's cues and so much more.

This class also offers you the chance to chat with other parents and relax with your baby.

Baby massage is suitable from birth – 12 months.

In order to ensure the safety of parents and babies, places for this course are very limited. In the event of a class being cancelled due to any Covid-related issue, it will take place online via zoom in order to ensure continuity for the parents and babies taking part.

Baby Yoga

This great new addition to Jen's classes is so much fun...gentle baby yoga, lots of songs and even some sensory play and of course chats with other parents - what's not to love?

Join Jen for four lovely weeks of baby yoga in The Pastoral Centre, Dunshaughlin.  This in-person course is a perfect option for parents who have completed baby massage or who want to explore new ways to move and interact with their babies. 

Each session will include gentle stretches and movements for your baby, we will also explore some sensory play and make some sensory equipment for parents to take home!

These classes are designed for babies from 3-12 months of age and are only suitable for mothers who have been given the all-clear to resume gentle exercise.

birthandbaby.ie has two beautiful venues for face to face classes in both The Pillo Hotel, Ashbourne and The Pastoral Centre, Dunshaughlin in Co. Meath. 

Each venue is perfectly situated in the heart of both villages, with ample parking and plenty of space to park up your pram. 

Online classes are held via Zoom, a perfect option for learning from the comfort of your own home.
